International Union of Metallurgical Equipment Manufacturers "Metallurgmash"

The main goal of the Metallurgmash Union is to increase the scientific and technical, production and investment potential, to strengthen and develop the competitiveness of the metallurgical equipment of enterprises and organizations of metallurgical equipment producers in Russia, CIS countries, and abroad on the basis of their mutually beneficial cooperation (joint technical projects, technological and information exchange, educational programs, etc.). Today Russian metallurgical enterprises have to compete with such world giants as SMS Smagens (Germany), Danieli (Italy), Fest Alpins (Australia), Usinor Sasilor (France), etc., therefore consolidation opportunities of the leading Russian enterprises of the industry is an urgent necessity.

Members of the Union are given the opportunity to participate in the Russian integrated programs for the reconstruction of metallurgical industries. To implement these programs, decisions are taken at all levels, including government, investment issues are being resolved.

Today the International Union "Metallurgmash" includes more than 40 members, including state scientific centers, design and engineering companies, universities, metallurgical and machine building enterprises in Russia, Ukraine and Italy. Among them now is the Scientific and Technical Center "Drive Technology".

The Union "Metallurgmash" organizes information exchange, support of the Union members, creation of the Technopark, as well as a set of international training programs for the members of the Union and in cooperation with them.
