Drilling Drawworks Electric Drive & Control System | Drive Technology
The winch drive ensures the operation of the winch in the run-up operation mode and the regulation of the bit feed modes during drilling.
In the run-up operation mode, the winch drive provides:
- lifting of loads (motor mode, I quadrant of the mechanical characteristic);
- braking during lifting (generator mode, II quadrant of the mechanical characteristic);
- power descent (motor mode, III quadrant of the mechanical characteristic);
- braking during descent (generator mode, IV quadrant of the mechanical characteristic).
In the bit feed mode, depending on the requirements of the technology, the following modes are provided:
- maintenance of the given axial loading on a chisel;
- maintaining a given mud pressure in the manifold.
- The automatic control system (SAR) of the electric winch drive provides:
The automatic control system (SAR) of the electric winch drive provides:
- smooth regulation of engine speed in the range from 0 to 1500 rpm;
- limitation of the acceleration and deceleration rate of the electric winch;
- maintaining the set speed of lifting and lowering the travel block;
- exact stop blocking block in the set position;
- maintenance of a given load on the bit in the drilling mode;
- limiting the motor torque in all four quadrants of the mechanical characteristic;
- keeping the goods in a stationary state.
To ensure braking of the drive of the drill winch and the rotor, braking resistors are connected to the DC buses through the brake key (chopper). Braking resistors connected to the chopper are placed in a separate compartment of the container.
