  • the path of supply of materials: charge from the averaging complex; coke and limestone from receiving bunkers of transported materials;
  • loading section of bunkers of charge section and charge batching;
  • a section for mixing the material and feeding it into the intermediate bins of the agglomeration body;
  • a sintering site;
  • the section for supplying agglomerate to the loading unit and loading the agglomerate into the agglomerates;
  • section of electrostatic precipitators of the sintering and cooling zone.

ACS TP of the sinter plant is a single two-tier system, having a decentralized structure.

  • The upper level includes operator workstations and controllers
  • The lower level is formed by controllers, a system of sensors, field level instruments and actuators.

Functions of the automation system of the lower level

    1. Management functions:

  • provision of start-up and braking of mechanisms (conveyors of drum rollers, vibrators of sluice feeders, belt feeders, smoke exhausters, compressors, closures, winches);
  • provision of interlocks and alarms;
  • provision of emergency shutdown of actuators when alarms are activated;
  • Realization of a zero level of protection (exclusion of spontaneous inclusion of mechanisms at restoration of a working condition of the circuit);

  • 2. Functions of control and regulation of technological parameters:

  • regulation of temperature in the furnace;
  • maintenance of the gas-air ratio;
  • regulation of flue gas temperature in panels 3, 4 and 5 of the furnace;
  • regulation of pressure in shelters of sinter machines in 4 points;
  • maintenance of discharge after cyclones in the "tail" of sinter machines;
  • regulation of water and steam consumption in the pelletizer;
  • control parameters of virtually all energy carriers involved in the technological process of sinter production (temperature, pressure, level, consumption of natural gas, air, water, steam);
  • continuous measurement and control of the level of charge, limestone, coke in batch hoppers of the charge section, in the charge hoppers of the batch and the bed of the agglomeration body, in the bunkers of the loading unit;
  • signaling of the dust level of the venting channels of the sintering machines, the bins of electrostatic precipitators;
  • control of flue gases emitted into the atmosphere for CO, CO2, O, SO2, NOx content in the exhauster compartment of the sintering zone on each sinter;
  • control of MPC on CO at work sites of agglomerate, as well as in the exhauster compartment of sintering zones;
  • signaling of reaching the I and II threshold of MPC and transfer to the automated process control system of agglomerate;
  • control of the CO value (up to 1%) in the vacuum chambers No. 21, 22, 23 of the sintering zones No. 1 and No. 2 of the cooling zones;
  • 3. Functions of information, mathematical and software:

  • control of the LEL on CO (up to 20%) in front of the electrostatic precipitator.
  • receiving, generation and transmission of data from sensors and field level instruments;
  • obtaining information, mathematical processing, generation and transmission of data from executive mechanisms (including frequency converters and soft starters).
